What you will do
- Handling general administrative and organisational tasks (suppliers, post, IT, email, labelling, maintaining lists, etc.)
- Daily cash handling including counting and checking cash balances as well as verifying and reconciling daily takings
- Preparation and dispatch of customer invoices (debtors) and resolving discrepancies and cash differences
- Collaboration with internal departments, suppliers and external partners
- Assisting in the lunch service at the front in the self-service restaurant, at the coffee bar and kiosk as well as during special events
What you bring
- Completed commercial training or training in gastronomy is an advantage, alternatively several years of professional experience in a comparable role with administrative and gastronomic tasks
- Flexible willingness to work in administration, self-service restaurant, coffee bar, etc.
- Basic understanding of accounting, especially in the area of debtors and cash accounting
- Trustworthy, reliable and responsible personality with an independent working style and strong organisational skills
- German as a native language or at C1 level as well as very good English and French skills

Your place of work
At the Novartis Campus in Basel, our host team with 160 employees delights around 2400 guests daily.
Through the in-house catering service, it is possible to order snacks and drinks for meetings or receptions. Regular company events and special occasions with up to 1,500 people are held.
You work Monday to Friday between 07:00 and 16:00, depending on the roster. You are flexibly available for occasional evening shifts.
