Résidence Amitié is a 52-bed nursing home located in the heart of Geneva city and offers its residents quality care in a bright and friendly environment. We are looking for our future activity leader.

Your area of responsibility
- You apply the fundamental principles of the Salvation Army, as described in the General Concept for the Salvation Army’s social work
- You participate in the nursing home’s mission for the well-being of residents and their support
- You design and organise activities adapted to the residents of the establishment
- You offer group and individual activities promoting the maintenance of social ties, cognitive abilities and residents’ autonomy
- You assist beneficiaries with daily living activities according to their needs
- You participate in the development and monitoring of residents’ individual projects
- You collaborate with a small activity team and other professionals in the establishment
- You ensure the transmission and documentation of information necessary for the follow-up of residents’ files (Carefolio)
- You contribute to institutional life, nursing home events and team dynamics
What you bring
- Commitment to the values of the Salvation Army
- Holder of a Federal VET Diploma as a socio-educational assistant (ASE) or a university degree (HES)
- Swiss nationality or valid work permit
- Attentive, you demonstrate kindness, gentleness and respect towards residents
- Proactive and dynamic: you are creative, take initiative and anticipate residents’ needs and wishes
- Versatile, you are able to lead varied activities, including musical, cultural or intergenerational ones
- You are able to propose outings and develop activities adapted to each person’s interests and abilities, including with simple means
- Flexible and responsive, you can adapt to different situations, unexpected events and adjust your approach according to needs
- Stress-resistant, you remain calm even in demanding situations
- With excellent interpersonal skills and a very good team spirit, you enjoy working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, while demonstrating autonomy, organisation and a sense of responsibility
- Professional rigour and punctuality
- Driving licence
- Availability for variable hours including occasional public holidays, evenings and weekends
