Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced professional for the project management of demanding timber construction projects. You will take over projects from the contract stage and manage them technically, economically and in terms of scheduling until acceptance and successful project completion. You will coordinate the interfaces between client, specialist planners, production, assembly and external partners and ensure professional implementation considering structural engineering, building physics and Swiss standards. The position combines solid timber construction knowledge with project management, cost control and change management in a modern, digitalised project environment.
Responsibilities:
Independent management of timber construction projects from contract to building acceptance and final accounting
Control and monitoring of costs, schedules, quality and project resources
Coordination of interfaces between client, architects, specialist planners, production, assembly and subcontractors
Technical support of projects regarding timber construction, structural engineering, building physics, fire protection and detailing
Review and coordination of workshop, production and assembly documents
Organisation of project handover to preparation, production and assembly as well as supervision of execution
Ensuring compliance with relevant SIA standards, contracts and quality requirements
Responsibility for change and variation management including technical and commercial assessment
Conducting cost controls, billing and post-calculations
Leading and coordinating project and site meetings as well as consistent handling of outstanding issues
Organisation of acceptances, defect management and project completion
Use of digital project processes and project-related systems such as Cadwork and Microsoft 365
Qualifications:
Basic training as carpenter EFZ, draughtsperson EFZ, joiner EFZ or comparable training in construction
Further training as timber construction foreman, technician HF timber technology/timber construction or timber construction engineer FH/BSc is an advantage
Several years of professional experience in timber construction, ideally in project management, planning or work preparation
Sound knowledge of timber construction, execution planning and Swiss building standards
Experience with cost, schedule, change and contract management is an advantage
User knowledge of Cadwork and Microsoft 365 is an advantage
Very good German language skills spoken and written
