What to expect

As a Cyber Security Engineer in the Cyber Defence Center Fundamentals team, you will significantly contribute to the protection of our systems and data. Together with your colleagues, you will further develop and operate central security platforms and drive their automation forward.

Your impact with us

Together with your colleagues, you ensure the technical foundation for the Cyber Defense Center and other teams. You develop and operate central security platforms, ensuring they remain stable, secure, and future-proof. With your engineering expertise and implementation-oriented approach, you contribute to the continuous development of our platforms.

You work in modern platform environments with a focus on the Microsoft security environment and also bring your experience to other platforms. Using PowerShell, Python, Terraform, Git, or comparable technologies, you automate processes, integrate new systems and data sources, and continuously optimise existing platforms and operational processes.

You analyse and sustainably resolve disruptions, document your work transparently, and support technical developments and migrations. In doing so, you take responsibility for reliable operations and implement improvements in a structured and comprehensible manner. You work closely with colleagues from Cyber Security and IT and contribute your technical expertise to joint solutions. With your service orientation and clear communication, you support various stakeholders and contribute to a trusting and successful collaboration.

Your profile

• Solid experience in engineering and operating IT platforms (including Windows, Linux), ideally in the cyber security environment
• Good knowledge of Python, PowerShell, Terraform, and Git or comparable technologies
• Enjoyment in using modern technologies and AI-supported tools as well as initial practical experience in profitably integrating them into daily work
• An open and communicative personality with strong team spirit and a high service orientation
• Experience with agile working methods such as Scrum or SAFe and enthusiasm for documenting and sharing knowledge within the team
• Curiosity about new technologies and motivation to actively shape the further development of our cyber security platforms
