School Caretaker for Large Facilities with Swimming Pool

General Tasks: As the responsible school caretaker, you will ensure smooth operation and maintenance of the primary school sites Peter and Rittergasse including the school swimming pool together with two assistant caretakers.

Cleaning, Repair and Maintenance Work: You monitor and ensure the flawless operation of the two school facilities and independently carry out minor repair and maintenance work. You professionally coordinate and supervise external service providers and craftsmen.

Provision of School Premises: You provide the school premises as required and ensure the operational and technical conditions for smooth school operations. In doing so, you work closely with the school management and other stakeholders.

Experience: You have professional experience in caretaking or a comparable role. Good PC user skills in Outlook, Word and Excel enable you to complete administrative tasks independently and efficiently.

Personality: You are service-oriented, resilient, flexible and have good manners. You quickly adapt to different stakeholders and remain calm and composed even in hectic situations.

Education: You have completed a vocational training in a craft or technical profession. Ideally, you hold the federal specialist certificate as a caretaker or have at least five years of professional experience in a comparable role.

The Central Services area consolidates the cross-sectional and support tasks of the Department of Education. Central Services form the competence centre for organisational, business management, personnel policy and system-technical issues at the departmental level and are divided into the following five departments: Finance and Controlling, Digitalisation and IT, Personnel, Space and Facilities, and Material Centre. These ensure smooth operations and act as versatile service providers for the department's specialist areas.

The Facility Management Office for School Facilities is the central point for facility management of the Department of Education's school facilities. Around 65 school and assistant caretakers as well as 150 in-house cleaning staff, supplemented by employees of external cleaning companies, ensure the operation and maintenance of around 80 school facilities and 200 kindergartens. This includes building maintenance, provision of school premises including sports and swimming halls, cleaning and other operational services.
