Job Description
On behalf of our client, a renowned and established company in the Geneva area specialising in high-end bespoke metal construction and locksmithing, we are looking for a qualified Locksmith / Metalworker-Blacksmith to strengthen their workshop team.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Shaping & Hot Forging: Perform forging work, bending, folding and hot shaping of decorative or structural metal elements
- Workshop Manufacturing: Cutting, marking, machining and assembly of various fine locksmithing, light framework and sheet metal works
- Plan Reading: Accurately interpret execution and 3D modelling plans issued by the technical design office.
- Welding & Fine Metalwork: Master welding processes (TIG, MIG-MAG, Electrode) and execute neat finishes
- Occasional Installation: Occasionally participate in assembly or adjustments on site as needed.
Qualifications
- Training: Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as Metal Constructor / Locksmith or equivalent diploma (CAP / BEP / Vocational Baccalaureate in Metalwork - Boilermaking).
- Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of successful experience in a fine locksmithing / bespoke metalwork workshop.
- Excellent skills in traditional forging and hot metalworking.
- Strong mastery of TIG and MIG-MAG welding (steel, stainless steel, aluminium).
- Perfect marking and reading of execution plans.
- Driving licence: Category B driving licence mandatory.
- Precision & Standards: Swiss precision, attention to detail and respect for best practices (SIA standards).
- Autonomy: Ability to manage the fabrication of a workpiece from A to Z independently.
- Up-to-date welding certifications, platform lift licence or safety / working at height training.
