Operations Mechanic (Maintenance)
Main Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical repairs, maintenance, and servicing work on production equipment
- Ensure high machine availability as well as machine, work, and plant safety
- Analyse and resolve technical faults and derive sustainable improvement measures
- Carry out preventive maintenance work to reduce unplanned downtime
- Optimise existing production equipment and actively participate in continuous improvement processes
- Coordinate, instruct, and support external fitters and service partners
- Technical clarifications with plant manufacturers, suppliers, and internal specialist departments
- Assist with commissioning, machine acceptance, technical modifications, and retrofit projects
- Initiate and track orders in the ERP system for spare parts
- Document completed work, faults, and optimisation measures
Requirements
- Completed vocational training in a mechanical profession, for example as a polymechanic, industrial mechanic, or comparable
- Experience in the maintenance of production equipment, ideally in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Good mechanical knowledge as well as basic knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical engineering; vacuum knowledge is an advantage
- Strong technical understanding and enjoyment of troubleshooting, repairs, and sustainable improvements
- Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style with a high awareness of safety and quality
- Teamwork skills, willingness to cooperate, and open communication with production, engineering, suppliers, and external partners
- Flexibility and willingness to work irregular hours
- Good German language skills, both spoken and written
