Pro Natura is the leading nature conservation organisation in Switzerland. With its 170,000 members, it is committed to the promotion and preservation of native fauna and flora. Around one hundred people work at the Pro Natura General Secretariat, while another 100 are active in the 23 cantonal sections.
The Pro Natura Centre at Champ-Pittet, one of Pro Natura’s two national environmental education centres, is located near Yverdon-les-Bains, in the heart of the Grande Cariçaie. It shines thanks to a varied offer: a catalogue of guided tours, exhibitions, three gardens, nature trails and observatories, a restaurant and a shop.
For the Pro Natura Centre at Champ-Pittet (VD), we are looking for a candidate for 1 January 2027 or by agreement:
Environmental Education Manager (80%)
Your tasks

You develop and update the Centre’s educational services, in line with Pro Natura’s environmental education strategy.

You lead the design and implementation of educational exhibitions, from concept to evaluation.

You supervise and enrich the programme of activities and ensure their quality.

You develop and maintain a network useful to the Centre’s educational services.

You recruit and support the nature activity team.

You work closely with the Centre’s management and stand in for the director during their absence.
Your profile
-
University education in natural sciences (biology, environment) or equivalent training
-
Proven experience in education, training or environmental education

Strong interest in environmental education, nature and the environment

Experience in team leadership and project management

Dynamic and creative personality, comfortable with collaborative work

Ease of contact with people and young people

Excellent command of French, the main working language, and very good knowledge of German (level B2–C1)
