Java Backend Engineer (m/f/d)

Our ROCKEN partner offers all the services required to establish international roaming between two mobile network operators.
Role:
In this role as a Software Engineer, you contribute to ensuring reliable, simple, and limitless communication in an increasingly connected world. You work in a dynamic, technology-driven environment where international roaming services are continuously developed. Responsibilities:
You develop high-performance Java backends for applications with large data volumes and demanding processing tasks.
You design APIs, services, and system components based on modern architectural patterns and Spring Boot.
You integrate databases, messaging, and streaming technologies and develop solutions for distributed systems.
You accompany software solutions from technical conception through implementation to testing, deployment, and further development.
You continuously improve existing systems through refactoring, automation, performance optimisation, and clean engineering practices.
Qualifications:
You have a degree in computer science, a comparable education, or equivalent practical qualifications.
You bring 2-6 years of experience in backend development with a focus on Java.
You possess good knowledge of object-oriented development, Spring Boot, REST, and databases.
You are ideally familiar with Kafka, MongoDB, Flink, or comparable technologies for distributed and data-intensive systems.
You work proactively, quality-conscious, and independently and enjoy sustainably improving complex technical solutions; good English skills are required.
