Accountant (m/f/d), 80-100%

Due to a replacement, we are immediately seeking an accountant for our Corporate Shared Service Centre at our headquarters in Schaffhausen. As part of a three-person team, you are responsible for the financial accounting of several group companies and actively contribute to the continuous development of our financial processes. This position is particularly suitable for individuals who have a high level of operational efficiency in accounting but also enjoy strategic challenges, such as taking on certain controlling activities.

Your tasks

• Overall responsibility for the financial accounting of two group companies, responsibility for accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger accounting
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements as well as group reporting
• Main contact person for internal and external auditors
• Efficient asset accounting, including project controlling of investment projects and expenses (Capex)
• Driving the standardisation and continuous improvement of financial processes within the Shared Service Centre
• Support in the evaluation, implementation and migration of new systems (e.g. S/4HANA)

Your profile

• Completed studies in accounting, finance or business administration (or comparable qualification)
• Ideally 3-4 years of relevant professional experience in a similar environment (complexity, internationality, asset accounting etc.)
• Sound knowledge in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
• Numerical flair and affinity for processes and systems, very good Excel skills and experience with SAP, ideally also SAP S/4HANA
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving competence
• Convincing and engaging communication, fluent German and English
