About the job
As the Civil Engineering Department, we lay the foundation for the quality of life in our city. We take care of roads, green spaces, forests, waters, water supply, sewage, and disposal – our team ensures that daily life runs smoothly. Are you interested in actively shaping the infrastructure of our community? To strengthen our team, we are looking for a motivated leader by the end of 2026 or by agreement as
- Technical and personnel management of the road infrastructure area
- Planning and implementation of all measures related to new construction, maintenance, and repair work of the municipal road infrastructure.
- Management of studies and infrastructure projects in the roles of client and construction supervision
- Responsible for the overall coordination as a link between the city and third parties (transport companies, network operators, authorities, etc.).
- Realization and implementation of neighborhood plans.
- Responding to political initiatives and concerns from the population.
- Drafting political proposals.
- Handling road police permits.
- Active participation in budgeting as well as task and financial planning.
- With the possibility to represent the Head of Civil Engineering
- Have a sense of humor, enjoy working in a team, and are enthusiastic about road infrastructure.
- Have a completed degree in civil engineering FH/ETH (or equivalent).
- Bring several years of leadership experience.
- Have good knowledge of planning and approval procedures.
- Are motivated by the range of tasks between strategies, projects, and operational management.
- Are strong in communication, assertive, and at the same time cooperative.
- Enjoy writing and can express yourself very well in the German language.
- Are happy to be there for concerns from politics and the population and have a keen sense for political contexts.
- Are interested in the future challenges of civil engineering.
