Cyber Security Specialist - SOC, Threat Hunting & Security Engineering (m/f/d)
Our partner is an owner-managed IT service company and has been successful for over 25 years with the entire spectrum of IT solutions. Tailored to public administrations, energy suppliers and SMEs in the service sector, our partner employs around 100 staff and impresses with excellent industry and technology know-how.
Role:
Modern cyber security does not end with the operation of individual protection systems. The focus of this role is the continuous monitoring of the IT landscape, recognising new attack patterns and the technical development of our security mechanisms.
Responsibilities:
Monitoring and optimisation of security operations including event monitoring, detection engineering and incident handling.
Investigation of attack patterns and suspicious activities using log and telemetry data as well as conducting threat hunting campaigns.
Evaluation of vulnerability scans and security findings as well as management of remediation and hardening measures.
Planning and execution of technical security tests, red-team-related assessments and penetration tests.
Design and further development of security designs for network, endpoint, server and cloud platforms.
Building and improving use cases, alerting logics and automated response mechanisms within the security platforms.
Participation in audits, risk analyses and security reviews as well as maintenance of policies, standards and technical specifications.
Qualifications:
Degree in computer science, IT security, cyber security or a comparable higher education.
About five to seven years of experience in a technical security role.
Very good knowledge of modern enterprise infrastructures as well as network, endpoint, server and cloud security.
Experience with solutions in the areas of SIEM, XDR/EDR, SOAR or security analytics.
Understanding of incident response processes, forensic basics, vulnerability management and attack techniques.
Security certifications such as CEH, CompTIA CySA+/Security+, GCIH or comparable qualifications are welcome.
Strong analytical skills, independent working style and enthusiasm for advancing security topics together with various IT teams.
