To strengthen its team, the Computing Centre (Ci) Research Computing and Support Division (DCSR) is looking for a passionate senior full stack developer with a keen interest in software engineering and data science, eager to support researchers in their work.

Your Activities
Expertise and Advice
- Provide reference expertise in database design, web servers, and complex data analysis.
- Support research teams, analyse their needs, and coordinate to propose reliable and sustainable technical solutions.
- Promote the use of data science tools and raise awareness among research groups about best practices.
Development and Infrastructure
- Design, develop, and deploy shared software infrastructures intended for multiple faculties.
- Develop APIs, visualisation tools, and interfaces to enhance data value.
- Participate in the maintenance and evolution of DCSR platforms.
Valorisation and Innovation
- Contribute to technological innovation and the dissemination of best practices within the institution.
- Design and conduct training activities around web technologies and data science.
Your Profile
Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in computer science, bioinformatics, geosciences, or equivalent field.
- PhD appreciated (biology, biochemistry, or related discipline).
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience in database development and associated tools, preferably in a scientific environment.
Technical Skills
- Languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, PHP, Bash.
- Versioning: Git.
- Databases:
o SQL: PostgreSQL, MariaDB
o NoSQL: MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Neo4j (at least one DBMS)
o Modelling of heterogeneous data,
o Administration of triplestores (GraphDB) appreciated
- Web Development:
o Back-end: Django, Rails, Flask, Node.js, Symfony (at least one framework)
o Front-end: HTML/CSS, React or Vue.js
o APIs: building REST or GraphQL APIs
o Visualisation: D3.js, Plotly, etc.
- Infrastructure and DevOps:
o Linux, Docker or Podman, CI/CD (basic knowledge), server or cloud deployments
o Kubernetes appreciated
- Security: PKI, certificates, hardening, encryption.
- Generative AI: knowledge of code generation assistance tools to support researchers.
Personal Qualities
- Autonomy, sense of responsibility.
- Teamwork, ability to collaborate in interdisciplinary contexts.
- Very good knowledge of English (spoken and written).
