To strengthen our team in Visp, Switzerland, we are looking for a Lab Assistant. As a member of our Composite Material Laboratory at Arxada in Visp, Switzerland, you will plan and conduct laboratory experiments and application tests in the field of polymers and their composite materials in close collaboration with the project teams.

Main tasks

• Planning and conducting laboratory experiments in collaboration with project teams
• Production and further development of product formulations
• Laboratory syntheses on gram to kilogram scale
• Analysis and characterisation of raw materials and end products
• Conducting application tests on polymer and composite materials
• Ensuring high safety and quality standards in the laboratory
• Careful documentation of results and active knowledge sharing within the team

Qualifications & Experience

• Completed training as a laboratory technician EFZ, Bachelor, Master or comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in chemical laboratory synthesis and formulation development
• Strong safety awareness and active contribution to the safety culture
• Independent, structured working style as well as enjoyment of team and project work
• Very good German skills; English skills are an advantage
• Good MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) as well as affinity for computer-controlled laboratory equipment
