Technical Editor - Mechanical Engineering 80-100% (m/f/d)
Responsibilities:
- Creation and updating of technical documentation such as operating instructions, technical specifications, and manuals for machines.
- Collaboration with engineering teams to collect and verify technical information.
- Creation of 3D illustrations and technical drawings using CAD software.
- Maintenance of terminology management and consistent technical terminology.
- Reviewing and proofreading documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Support in training customers and internal staff regarding technical documentation.
- Compliance with quality standards and regulations in mechanical engineering.
- Active participation in internal meetings for product development and improvement.
Qualifications:
- Completed technical basic training in mechanical engineering or comparable qualification.
- Further education at FH level.
- Several years of professional experience as a technical editor or in a similar position.
- Very good knowledge of CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Knowledge of relevant standards and guidelines in mechanical engineering.
- Teamwork skills, strong communication, and a structured working style.
- Very good German language skills, both spoken and written.
