For our ROCKEN partner, an IT company located in Wallisellen that actively lives its AI-driven approach and is transforming its business model towards recurring subscription revenues, we are looking for a results-oriented Business Controller. You will be responsible for planning, budgeting, and management reporting, translating financial data into clear insights for the executive management and board of directors. In this role, you act as a sparring partner for the departments on cost, investment, and control issues and drive the active use of AI tools in the finance area.
Responsibilities:
You lead the annual budgeting process end-to-end, coordinate inputs from all departments, and consolidate them into an integrated plan (profit and loss, cash flow, headcount)
You analyse monthly actuals vs. budget/forecast/previous year with clear commentary on drivers and support the CFO in P&L commentary at board level
You are responsible for the KPI dashboard (ARR, recurring revenues, net revenue retention, backlog, etc.) and its further development
You prepare ad-hoc analyses and decision-making bases for executive management and board meetings
You are a business partner for department heads in questions of cost centre control, cost transparency, and personnel planning
You monitor operating expenses, personnel costs, and CAPEX against budget and identify savings potentials
You build planning models and reports in Board/Abacus and Excel and actively use AI tools to automate analyses
You support the annual audit with reconciliations, alignments, and analyses
Qualifications:
You have a degree in finance, business administration, or economics; further training (e.g. professional certificate in finance and accounting, MAS controlling) is an advantage
You bring 4-5 years of experience in controlling, ideally in a software, SaaS, or technology company
You have a solid understanding of cost controlling, cost centre accounting, and personnel planning; knowledge of software business models and Swiss GAAP FER is an advantage
You have strong financial modelling skills in Excel; experience with Board or a comparable BI/EPM tool is an advantage
You actively use AI tools in your daily work and enjoy driving automation in the finance area
You have very good analytical skills and can clearly prepare complex information for senior management
You are proactive, hands-on, and communicate fluently in German and English
