Construction Manager Building Construction (m/f/d)

Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for a specialist as Construction Manager Building Construction for the realisation of diverse new build, conversion and renovation projects in the greater Zurich area. You will take on the local site management and accompany the projects from tendering and awarding through execution to acceptance and construction accounting. In doing so, you coordinate clients, planners, authorities and contractors and ensure compliance with cost, schedule and quality requirements. The position offers a broad range of tasks within a professional architecture and construction management environment.

Responsibilities:

• Independent local site management of new builds, conversions and renovation projects

• Coordination of clients, architects, specialist planners, authorities and contractors during realisation

• Preparation of cost estimates and tender documents as well as conducting tenders and offer comparisons

• Conducting contract negotiations as well as preparation and handling of contracts with contractors

• Creation and ongoing monitoring of schedules and construction programmes as well as coordination of individual trades

• Responsibility for cost control, calculation and construction accounting including measurement, time-based work and invoice verification

• Leading and minute-taking of construction and coordination meetings as well as consistent follow-up of pending issues

• Monitoring construction execution regarding quality, costs, deadlines and execution details

• Ensuring compliance with relevant SIA standards, contracts and Swiss building regulations

• Conducting and coordinating acceptances, defect management and handovers

• Accompanying projects through to construction accounting and warranty phase as well as ensuring complete project documentation

Qualifications:

• Completed vocational training in the main construction trade, for example bricklayer EFZ or carpenter EFZ, with further training in construction management

• Alternatively, qualification as technician HF construction planning/building construction, architect FH or comparable construction-technical education

• Completed or ongoing further training as construction manager as well as professional experience in Swiss construction management is an advantage

• Knowledge in tendering, awarding, contract management and contractor coordination

• Knowledge in scheduling, cost control, calculation and construction accounting

• Good knowledge of relevant SIA standards and Swiss building regulations

• Good German language skills spoken and written
