The Emma Couvreu Childhood Foundation since 1829 is actively committed to the reception, protection and support of minors at risk in their development. Our services are aimed at children and also their parents. We implement our actions in accordance with values that we embody daily. Our activities are fully aligned with the child protection policy established by the State of Vaud. Strong in its commitment, the Foundation manages 5 boarding schools and 6 outpatient units, mobilising more than 250 collaborators for this purpose.

As part of an exceptional humanitarian project, the Pompaples Children’s Home was urgently opened in 2022 to accommodate 61 Ukrainian orphans aged 4 to 12 and their carers.

To ensure optimal support until the end of the humanitarian mission, we are looking for a social educator at 80%, for fixed-term contracts.

Job description

• Ensure, in collaboration with colleagues, the daily support of the group of children aged 4 to 12 benefiting from child protection measures, in accordance with the defined educational project
• Propose and organise activities conducive to the children’s healthy development
• Carry out nursing and educational care
• Manage daily and administrative tasks

Your profile

• Holder of one of the following diplomas, or an equivalent qualification

- Higher Education or Secondary School Social Educator

- Early Childhood Educator

- Federal Certificate of Competence as a socio-educational assistant

• Ideally, experience and continuing education in the field of childhood
• Proven ability to manage, animate and contain groups of children with behavioural disorders
• Ability to work both independently with a group of children and collaboratively in a team
• Driving licence essential

Start date: as soon as possible or to be agreed.
