PLC Software Developer (m/f/d)
Role:
In this role, you develop modern HMI solutions and ensure that complex functions become tangible through an intuitive user interface. You analyse requirements, design user interfaces, and implement them in a structured manner using appropriate technologies. Additionally, you optimise existing HMI applications in terms of performance, usability, and stability. You work closely with specialists to gather feedback from practice and translate it into improvements. You take responsibility for clear documentation and a high-quality development standard.
Responsibilities:
- You realise HMI applications for customer projects from the offer preparation to successful project completion and support commissioning
- In this role, you implement HMI visualisations for packaging machines in new machines and modernisations and support our commissioning team in-house and at customers worldwide
- As an HMI software developer, you design user-friendly interfaces with a clear focus on usability and user experience and maintain as well as expand machine-specific application templates
- You support our sales team in preparing offers by evaluating customer specifications
- In this role, you adapt HMI programmes to customer needs using your high-level programming experience and develop tools for automated application creation
- As an HMI software developer, you actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our work processes, promote internal knowledge transfer, and create documentation
Qualifications:
- You have a degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a comparable field, or relevant professional experience in the development of visualisation systems
- You have initial experience in programming HMI or SCADA systems such as FactoryTalk, Zenon, or WinCC and are familiar with common control platforms
- You possess good knowledge of C# and .NET, ideally complemented by experience with web technologies and Python
- You bring know-how in Windows and Linux systems, network technology, IT security, and working with Microsoft SQL Server databases
- You are familiar with modern industrial and web protocols such as REST, OPC UA, and MQTT and are enthusiastic about automation solutions and special machine construction
- You enjoy working in a team, approach tasks independently and solution-oriented, and impress with a sense of usability, user experience, and good English skills for occasional international customer contact
