Together with your team, you will organise the procurement of services and design for projects so that construction projects proceed efficiently and people travel without barriers. You will have a varied portfolio of projects ranging from new builds and conversions to renovations of stations, tunnels, bridges and entire railway sections. You will work closely with project managers, engineering, legal department and other interfaces and take on responsibilities with tangible impact.

What you can get moving.

• You will be responsible for technical and personnel management in the construction sector for the Infrastructure Division in your region
• You will provide advice to around seven project procurement managers on procurement and contracts, in compliance with public procurement regulations, and agree on individual development measures.
• You will manage regional procurement operations based on commercial principles and sign contracts up to CHF 10 million.
• As a member of the Infrastructure Construction Procurement management team, you will collaborate in regional and national committees and actively maintain contacts with internal and external stakeholders.
• Within working groups, you will propose ideas for the continuous development of processes and methods.
• You are ready to travel within the region and regularly perform duties in Olten, Lucerne and Bellinzona.

What you bring with you.

• For this management position, strong leadership skills are essential, such as results- and development-oriented leadership.
• You quickly become familiar with new and complex issues, act in a results-oriented manner with quality awareness. You have already gained some experience in managing escalations and critical situations at management and leadership levels.
• Your strengths include an entrepreneurial and cost-conscious mindset as well as strong communication and moderation skills.
• You have experience in the project acquisition process and/or in the construction sector.
• You hold a professional university degree (in engineering, business administration or equivalent) or have passed a higher professional examination (federal diploma as head of procurement or equivalent training).
• You have an excellent command of German (C2). You speak French or Italian with good knowledge (B2) of the other national languages.
