Swatch Group supplies almost all the components necessary for the manufacture of watches sold by its 17 watch and jewellery brands, as well as by its two distribution brands.

Job description

To strengthen our legal department based in Biel, we are looking immediately or by agreement for a

Brand and Design Specialist (m/f/d) 100%

Main tasks

Management of the brand and design portfolios of the Swatch Group companies, in particular:

• Advising Group companies on the protection of their brands and designs
• Filing, renewal and analysis of brand and design portfolios
• Availability searches for brands and monitoring of newly filed brands and designs
• Processing and management of proof of use of brands
• Handling disputes, in some cases in collaboration with external lawyers
• Monitoring of various procedures and deadlines
• Instruction to external lawyers and management thereof
• Reporting to management
• Various administrative tasks related to portfolio management

Profile

Required profile

• Specialist in trademark and design law with legal training or from a university of applied sciences
• Several years of experience in the field of brand and design protection, preferably in an international environment
• Native French or German speaker with excellent knowledge of the other language, very good level of English (written and spoken)
• Team spirit, loyalty, availability, flexibility and sense of responsibility
• Precision, autonomy, responsiveness and analytical skills
