What awaits you.
The CFF Infrastructure fleet is one of the three fleets of railway vehicles of the Swiss Federal Railways alongside the Passenger Traffic and Cargo fleets. Approximately 2,500 vehicles are used for construction sites (for example locomotives, ballast wagons, railway cranes), for interventions (for example fire and rescue trains) as well as for special applications (for example snow cutters, maintenance fleet for the Gotthard Base Tunnel). As a member of the management team of the Vehicle Acquisition and Fleet Management unit, you contribute to the development of the CFF Infrastructure fleet and the unit. In doing so, you help ensure safe, reliable and sustainable mobility in Switzerland.
What you can move.
- As head of a team of 12 employees, you play a key role in ensuring the safety and efficient use of the CFF Infrastructure fleet.
- You ensure the availability of the right vehicles at the right time for construction sites, interventions and special applications.
- You plan and allocate the fleet with the aim of achieving the best economic efficiency from long-term sizing to short-term optimisation of utilisation rate and availability while respecting the safety framework.
- In your role as ECM 3, you ensure maintenance is carried out on time and documentation is compliant.
- By fostering a motivating and trust-based team climate, you embody the SBB values and the leadership principles of the Infrastructure division.
- As a Business Owner in IT projects, you continuously develop your team’s processes.
What you bring.
- Analytical thinking comes naturally to you and you make data-driven decisions.
- You have proven leadership experience with hierarchical responsibility and master stakeholder management.
- Strong knowledge and experience in Physical Asset Management characterise your profile.
- Driven by a strong affinity for railway vehicles, you are regularly present on the gemba floor.
- Holding a tertiary-level degree in a technical or economic field, you bring a solid foundation.
- German is mastered at C1 level and another national language, French or Italian, at B1 level.
Your salary and social benefits.
