Living Diversity
As the largest social enterprise in the Basel area, we offer meaningful work, self-determined living, as well as comprehensive care and support at BSB (Bürgerspital Basel) with around 1,600 employees.
From 1 August 2027, we offer you a varied and meaningful apprenticeship as a Care Specialist EFZ (specialising in People with Disabilities). In one of our residential homes in the "Supported Living" sector in Basel, you will gain valuable practical experience, gradually take on responsibility, and develop both professionally and personally. If suitable, you can also complete the vocational baccalaureate alongside your apprenticeship.
Your Role
Are you looking for a varied and meaningful apprenticeship where people are at the centre? Then you are exactly right with us.
In our residential homes, you accompany people with intellectual, physical and/or multiple disabilities on their path to as self-determined a life as possible.
During your apprenticeship, you will learn to professionally accompany and support people in different life situations. Together with the residents, you shape everyday life, recognise individual resources and promote them purposefully. You participate in leisure activities, social contacts and personal development.
Step by step, you take on more responsibility and work in an interdisciplinary team. You will also become familiar with key worker duties and the associated administrative tasks.
You will gain practical insight into a diverse field of work and be supported on your learning journey by experienced trainers.
Your Prospects
This apprenticeship lays the foundation for diverse career opportunities in the social and healthcare sectors. After completing your apprenticeship, various further training and development opportunities are open to you.
