Job Description
As part of a strategic project to modernise an information system within a public organisation in Vaud, we are looking for an experienced Business Project Manager M/F.
You will participate in a transformation programme aimed at modernising an information system dedicated to the processing, analysis, and dissemination of data. The project notably includes the deployment of a new statistical analysis solution, the migration of existing processes, the enhancement of data collection and storage capabilities, as well as the modernisation of digital dissemination tools. You will play a central role as an interface between business teams, IT teams, and the project governance bodies.
Your mission
In close collaboration with the IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the project on its business aspect, with particular attention to the migration of existing processes to the new platform.
In this capacity, your main responsibilities will be to:
- manage the project in compliance with defined processes, methodological standards, and objectives
- organise, plan, and coordinate the different phases of the project
- build, mobilise, and support the business teams involved in the project
- ensure coordination and alignment between business teams and IT teams
- gather, structure, and prioritise user needs according to their business value and complexity
- contribute to defining requirements, specifications, testing, and acceptance processes of solutions
- manage reporting to the Management and governance bodies
- contribute to the project budget monitoring and commitment management
- coordinate relations with the relevant suppliers
- ensure compliance with methodological standards, directives, and the defined strategy
- participate in the acceptance of solutions and feedback.
Migration Management
Migration is a major part of the mission.
You will be specifically responsible for:
- designing and operationalising the migration process
- establishing priorities and planning the various migrations
- preparing and coordinating the mobilised business teams
- managing several teams and multiple migrations in parallel
- ensuring the availability of necessary resources to meet the schedule
- maintaining close coordination with IT management throughout the process.
Change Management
You will also actively participate in supporting the change induced by the information system transformation.
You will notably contribute to:
- developing and implementing the communication plan
- preparing and coordinating training actions
- supporting teams in the evolution of their tools and practices
- conducting change management actions necessary for the adoption of new solutions.
Profile sought
You must have:
- a university degree at Master level or equivalent
- at least 5 years of experience as a Project Manager
- excellent command of French, both spoken and written
- a good command of technical English.
Project management certification and additional training in team leadership are assets.

Knowledge of project management methodologies such as HERMES is an advantage in the context of this mission.
Particularly valued experiences
The following will be especially appreciated:
- experience with an organisation specialised in quantitative analysis or mainly composed of expert profiles
- experience within a statistical office
- additional experience as a Business Analyst
- experience managing projects in the public sector
- experience of projects conducted in contexts with strong constraints in terms of budget, organisation, or human resources.
Conditions
- Activity rate: 80%, adjustable according to the different phases of the project
- Up to 1 day of remote work per week
