The SZBLIND is the national umbrella organisation for the Swiss blind and visually impaired community. Since 1903, we have been committed nationwide to improving the living conditions of people with visual, deafblindness and deafblindness – with expertise, aids, research, awareness-raising and direct support.

Specialist Competence Centre Acquired Deafblindness (60%)
Your area of responsibility
In this role, you convey knowledge about deafblindness and deafblindness. You work with deaf people, volunteers, communication assistants and professionals.
- You plan and lead courses for volunteers and communication assistants and create the training programme.
- You organise and lead the training for communication assistants.
- You plan and lead projects on training, awareness-raising and information, working with various partners.
- You raise awareness in the deaf community and manage the information centre for deaf people with visual impairment or Usher syndrome.
- Together with other professionals, you create informational materials such as brochures, films and other content.
Your profile
For this versatile role, you bring the following qualifications:
- You preferably have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, for example with a focus on socioculture, or an equivalent qualification.
- You have experience in adult education and project management, preferably with relevant training.
- You can write texts such as course announcements, concepts or brochures clearly and appropriately for the target audience.
- You have very good German skills; knowledge of Swiss German Sign Language (DSGS) and French is an advantage.
- You are familiar with the deaf community, easily make contacts, work independently and actively develop your expertise and area of responsibility.
