Logistics Manager - Stock & Internal Flow Management

Attached to the Supply Chain department, you are responsible for managing storage activities and the movement of materials and products between the various workshops.

Your priority will be to ensure stock reliability, smooth internal flows, and the efficiency of the logistics organisation.

This position is aimed at a hands-on manager, capable of mobilising their team around common objectives.

The company is entering a new phase in the evolution of its logistics operations, with the implementation of an almost fully automated storage environment.

We are looking for a Logistics Manager to support this evolution, ensure proper stock and internal flow management, and develop the skills of a team of around 20 employees.

Responsibilities

Team management and development

• Supervise, lead and support a team of around 20 employees working in a storage environment.
• Identify skills and potential within the team, and encourage their development towards broader responsibilities, particularly in stock management.
• Develop versatility and flexibility among employees to strengthen the organisation's adaptability.
• Establish close management based on trust, communication, and team support.

Stock and internal flow management

• Oversee the receipt of raw materials as well as the management of stocks of raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished products.
• Ensure the reliability of stock movements and the smooth circulation of products between the different workshops.
• Coordinate internal flows, from the receipt of raw materials to the availability of finished products.
• Supervise preparation and picking operations when specific customer needs require it.
• Coordinate inventories and contribute to improving stock data reliability.

Analysis and continuous improvement

• Analyse flows, stock levels, and performance indicators to identify areas for improvement.
• Propose and implement actions to optimise the organisation and efficiency of logistics operations.
• Utilise data available in SAP and Excel to ensure rigorous activity monitoring and facilitate decision-making.
• Support the evolution of working methods in the context of the move and automation of the new warehouse.
• Work closely with the Planning, Purchasing & Supply, Production, and Customer Service teams to ensure flow consistency.

Candidate profile

• Higher education in logistics, Supply Chain, or an equivalent field.
• Proven experience in managing logistics teams, ideally in a storage and stock management environment.
• Strong understanding of issues related to stocks, internal flows, and coordination with production.
• Ability to identify skills and potential within a team, and to develop employee versatility.
• Good analytical skills and ability to use data to identify concrete improvements.
• Proficiency in SAP and excellent command of Excel.
• Ability to operate in a demanding operational environment, manage priorities, and handle unforeseen events.
