Head of IT Application Management (m/f/d)

- You lead the IT application team both professionally and personally and promote its further development.
- In this role, you are responsible for the operation, support and continuous improvement of central business applications.
- As Head of IT Application Management, you strategically shape the application landscape with a view to future viability and scalability.
- You modernise existing systems and actively drive technological transformation forward.
- In this role, you analyse, prioritise and realise business requirements in close coordination with stakeholders.
- You act in a product-owner-adjacent role as a link between business and IT and ensure software quality, security and sustainable architectural decisions.
Qualifications:
- Several years of experience in leading or professionally managing development or smaller application teams
- Solid practical experience in developing modern web applications with Java, Spring Boot and contemporary full-stack technologies
- In-depth experience in software architecture, system integration and holistic application lifecycle management
- Confident handling of modern development processes, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) and application security
- Strong knowledge in secure coding and code security as well as a good understanding of secure software architectures
- Experience in dealing with mature application landscapes and their gradual modernisation
