You will become part of an established IT service provider in the Bern area, which has been owner-managed and stable for over two decades. A well-coordinated team supports a broad SME customer base throughout the entire IT lifecycle - from consulting and design to setup, operation, and maintenance. The focus is on hybrid cloud and modern workplace solutions as well as IT security, closely aligned with the Microsoft ecosystem. How you create added value

• You contribute to the operation, maintenance, and optimisation of hybrid IT infrastructures based on HPE hardware, HPE VME, VMware, and Veeam and actively participate in their technical further development.
• You support the operations team in the stable and secure operation of hybrid IT infrastructures and contribute conceptually and operationally to patch, update, and lifecycle management, including Azure Update Management.
• In customer projects as well as in the internal datacentre, you plan, configure, migrate, and implement modern on-premises and datacentre solutions.
• You independently carry out smaller projects and technical assignments or work closely with project management.
• You analyse complex faults in 3rd level support, resolve them sustainably, and develop future-proof solution approaches.
• You carefully accompany operational handovers and ensure complete, structured, and comprehensible documentation of system environments.
• You actively contribute your experience to the further development of processes, standards, and operating models and help continuously improve our platform services.
• You share your knowledge within the team and support colleagues with technical questions in projects and operations.

What makes you the ideal candidate

• You have completed training as an IT specialist EFZ and ideally further education at HF, FH level or a comparable qualification.
• You bring several years of experience in the operation and further development of datacentre, virtualisation, or hybrid cloud environments.
• You have sound knowledge of HPE hardware environments, VMware, and Veeam.
• You have experience in the implementation, migration, and integration of on-premises and datacentre solutions.
• Ideally, you are familiar with patch management, automation, or update solutions, for example with Azure Update Management.
• You have experience in planning, coordinating, and implementing infrastructure projects, such as migrations, modernisations, or technical sub-projects.
• You work in a structured, independent, and solution-oriented manner and keep an overview even in complex environments.
• You appreciate teamwork, actively contribute, and enjoy sharing your knowledge with others.
• You have very good German skills as well as good English skills in spoken and written form.
• You are interested in new technologies and enjoy continuously developing your professional skills.
