Senior Physician / Consultant in Emergency Medicine (m/f/d)
Role:
In this role, as a senior physician or consultant with special function (mbF), you take professional responsibility for emergency medicine and ensure high-quality, patient-oriented care. You are responsible for the structured assessment and treatment of emergency patients, lead demanding diagnostic and therapeutic processes, and make well-founded decisions even in complex situations. Furthermore, you ensure close interdisciplinary collaboration and contribute to the continuous optimisation of clinical procedures and standards in emergency care. As an experienced professional, you are committed to supervising, promoting, and further training assistant and specialist physicians as well as other professional groups in emergency care. Through your commitment, you make a significant contribution to the further development of emergency medicine and to ensuring a high quality of care.
Responsibilities:
- You take on the interdisciplinary, senior medical care of emergency patients
- In this role, you assume leadership and training responsibilities for trainees at various levels and professions
- As a senior physician / consultant with special function (mbF) in emergency medicine, you work interdisciplinarily and interprofessionally with all departments of the Schaffhausen hospitals
- You actively shape development tasks for the emergency centre in line with the mission statement
- In this role, you will prospectively take on relevant leadership tasks
Qualifications:
- You have an interdisciplinary focus in Clinical Emergency Medicine (SGNOR) or are close to achieving it
- Ideally, you bring experience in a senior physician role in interdisciplinary clinical emergency medicine
- You are highly motivated to work clinically with excellent medical quality
- You value interdisciplinary and interprofessional collaboration in a team-oriented environment
- You place great importance on teaching and the continuous support of learners
- You are interested in taking on development and leadership tasks to further develop the emergency centre
