Responsibilities
Sovereign function and Pharmaceutical Service: In this responsible key position as Cantonal Pharmacist, you assume the sovereign function and ensure the enforcement of federal and cantonal legislation in the field of medicinal products. At the same time, you lead the Pharmaceutical Service and actively participate in strategic, health policy and crisis-relevant issues.
Inspection and supervision: Management of the medical-pharmaceutical inspectorate as well as the supervision of pharmacies, drugstores, hospitals, companies and other businesses.
Quality and safety: Monitoring of the trade in medicinal products and medical devices. This includes controls of manufacturing practices as well as intervention in illegal trade. Issuing professional, operational, narcotics, blood storage and manufacturing permits.
Leadership, advice and strategy: Participation in the management of the Medical Services. Advising the cantonal government and other authorities. Public relations work in the field of pharmaceutical sciences.
Projects and crisis organisation: Leading complex strategic and operational projects as well as participating in the cantonal crisis organisation (KKO). Representing the canton in cantonal and federal expert committees.
Profile
Experience: You have many years (at least 5 years) of solid experience in the pharmaceutical environment, preferably also in hospital pharmacy or industry.
Personality: You convince with clear, precise and binding communication and have a pronounced analytical way of thinking. You can make decisions quickly and approach your task with a high sense of responsibility.
Education: You have a university degree in pharmacy and meet the professional requirements for the role of Cantonal Pharmacist. In addition, you are willing to continuously further your professional education.
Language: Your written and spoken expression is clear and you can convey demanding pharmaceutical, legal and health policy matters appropriately to the target audience.
