Senior Physician Internal Medicine with Specialisation in Palliative Care (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• Medical work in the interdisciplinary palliative care consultation service of Bürgerspital Solothurn
• Co-responsibility for the treatment, support and symptom control of inpatient and outpatient patients with complex palliative needs
• Close interdisciplinary collaboration with the teams of Internal Medicine, Oncology, Surgery, Nursing, Pastoral Care and other specialist areas
• Supervision and training of assistant physicians as well as nursing and therapy staff
• Active participation in the further development of the palliative care services at the Solothurn site
• Participation in the in-house duty system of the Clinic for General Internal Medicine

Profile

• Specialist title in General Internal Medicine (FMH) or close to obtaining it (with foreign diploma recognised by MEBEKO)
• Specialisation in Palliative Care (SGAIM/SGP) or equivalent qualification
• Clinical experience in the palliative setting and enthusiasm for interprofessional collaboration
• High level of empathy, communication skills and resilience
• Interest in further training and quality assurance
