"The Centre for Addiction Disorders is part of the Clinic for Adult Psychiatry and Psychotherapy of the PDAG (Clinic Director Prof. Dr. med. Marc Walter) and is jointly led by PD Dr. med. Eva-Maria Pichler, Chief Physician, and Michael Geissberger, Head of Nursing. It treats people with addiction disorders including psychological secondary and accompanying illnesses, especially dual diagnoses, and covers the spectrum from harm reduction to abstinence-oriented treatment. At the main site in Windisch, three specialised wards with different treatment focuses and day hospital places are available. Also in Windisch, the centre conducts substitution-supported treatment as well as heroin-assisted treatment for people with opioid dependence. At the Aarau, Baden and Windisch locations, it offers outpatient addiction medical assessments, treatments and specialist consultations, also for behavioural addictions. Participation in ongoing clinical research projects is possible and supported. The centre is an SIWF-recognised training centre for the specialty of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy of Addiction Disorders, category A, inpatient and outpatient (2 years for the specialty, 1 additional year creditable towards the specialist title)."
Profile
- You have a specialist recognition in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy or are in very advanced training
- You are registered in the Medical Profession Register (MedReg)
- You have very good German language skills, at least at level C1
- You have an interest in the interdisciplinary treatment of addiction disorders, also with comorbid mental illnesses
- You are versatile, motivated, enthusiastic, independent and confident in decision-making
- You have organisational skills and good communication abilities and enjoy interdisciplinary and networked work
Responsibilities
- You take on the medical leadership of an addiction medicine specialised ward and lead a multiprofessional treatment team
- You supervise assistant doctors and psychologists in the training curriculum and participate in the further training of the interdisciplinary team
- You contribute to the further development of treatment concepts and actively promote the networking of outpatient and inpatient services as well as the upstream and downstream agencies of the addiction support system. Your goal is an integrated, needs-oriented treatment of people with addiction disorders
- You participate in evaluations related to quality assurance and care-related issues
- You take part in on-call duties within the framework of the PDAG duty concept
- You contribute to the centre's own training programme
