The BÂLE HOTELS GROUP unites six hotels and two conference centres under one roof, representing hospitality, utmost comfort, and a passion for gastronomy. This includes the Hotel Pullman Basel Europe****, Hotel Victoria****, Hotel Baslertor***, and the Boutique Hotel Märthof**** in Basel, Hotel Savoy**** in Bern, Holiday Inn Express*** in Oftringen, the Coop Conference Centre in Muttenz, as well as the Hôtel du Léman centre de séminaire in Jongny. The charming, stylish Boutique Hotel "Märthof" at the Market Square with 68 unique rooms was opened in July 2021, in the best location in the heart of Basel’s historic old town with views over the Market Square. The lively "Brasserie Bohemia" with boulevard café directly on the Market Square, first-class event facilities for up to 40 people, and a panoramic roof terrace for our hotel guests demonstrate the diversity of the house, entirely in line with our motto "Savoir vivre in the heart of Basel".

Responsibilities
- Willingness to work at various kitchen stations
- Preparing, cooking, and plating all dishes
- Independent preparation of the mise en place
- Assisting with menu design and contributing personal ideas
- Compliance with hygiene standards and safety regulations
Requirements
- Successfully completed training as a cook
- Initial experience in a comparable position in gastronomy/hotellerie
- Good German and English skills. French is an advantage.
- Passion for food and its creative preparation
- Enthusiasm for cooking, motivation, and commitment
- Manual dexterity, independent and quality-conscious working style
- Flexibility, reliability, and resilience
- Calmness and overview even during the busiest times
- Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays
- Neat appearance and good manners
