What you can contribute

• lead the Supply Security domain on technical, personnel, organisational and financial levels
• address strategic issues concerning supply security and ensure the implementation of strategic directives within the area of responsibility
• assume technical and organisational responsibility for the dossier related to the popular initiative "Yes to medical supply security" and the direct counter-proposal as well as subsequent legislative work
• manage and coordinate demanding projects aimed at improving supply security in normal and crisis situations, including pandemic preparedness
• ensure cooperation and technical coordination with other units within the FOPH and with external organisations

What makes you unique

• university degree in political or natural sciences, medicine or pharmacy, with specific knowledge and/or further training in supply security
• very good knowledge of Swiss health policy
• several years of professional experience in a leadership role and experience in managing complex projects; keen interest, strong commitment, great flexibility and a marked ability to think systemically and strategically
• sharp and proven negotiation skills, innovative spirit, high social skills and the ability to grasp complex relationships and link distinct thematic fields
• very good knowledge of the official languages and English; the main working language is German

In a few words

It is planned to establish, from 1 January 2027, the Competence Centre for Supply Security within the Biomedicine division, as a full section, while integrating it into the FOPH structures. Therefore, we are looking for a person to lead this section from that date.
