Project Manager for Optical Sensing and Image Processing
At our business centre in Liebefeld-Bern, we develop innovative high-tech products. A key focus lies on measurement technology, optical sensing, and algorithmics. We work with technologically demanding and interdisciplinary systems for medical and industrial applications. We support our national and international customers in innovation projects and accompany development projects from the initial idea through design and conception to industrialisation. To strengthen our development team, we are looking for a dynamic individual with experience in leading development projects and in system engineering of products with optical sensing and image processing.
Area of Activity
As a member of a multidisciplinary team, you will immerse yourself in the world of technology and product development for various high-tech industries. You will use your profound technical expertise in signal processing for optical systems as well as your broad understanding of engineering to quickly grasp new tasks, develop creative solutions, and plan and drive product developments forward. You communicate confidently with specialists from other fields to reach decisions at the system level. You take on the technical leadership and system engineering in a team of engineers from various disciplines. In doing so, you adapt approaches and communication to the respective competencies. You represent work results to the client and other stakeholders. You question your approach and that of your project team members to achieve the highest effectiveness and efficiency. You feel comfortable discussing with various stakeholders in an international partner network.
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification, with several years of professional experience in industry
- Ability to understand and optimise a system consisting of electronics, optics, software, and mechanics as a whole
- Ability to independently design and implement technical contributions in the field of signal processing / computer vision
- Confident communication with customers to understand needs, discuss strategies, and present work results
- Ability to document and discuss technical matters at various levels of abstraction
- Active management in the tension field of quality, cost, and development time
- Experience in creating comprehensive development plans, including risk-based approaches and budget planning
- Enjoyment of a wide variety of tasks related to the product development cycle and industries
- Project management certification (e.g. IPMA) – advantageous but not mandatory
