About our institution
Located in Payerne, our nursing home accommodates 44 long-stay residents in a calm, family-like and caring environment. We support elderly people with needs related to geriatrics and complex geriatrics, placing the quality of care, respect for the individual, and maintenance of their autonomy at the heart of our practices.
Your duties
As a nurse, you play an essential role in supporting and caring for our residents. In this capacity, you will notably be required to:
- Provide nursing care and medical-technical treatments adapted to the needs of the residents.
- Support and assist residents in daily life activities, promoting their autonomy, dignity and well-being.
- Participate in the assessment of care situations and the implementation of an individualised and comprehensive care plan.
- Identify complex situations and contribute to their management in collaboration with various professionals.
- Ensure reliable, precise and structured communication of information, both orally and in writing.
- Guarantee the quality and continuity of the care records.
- In the absence of the Head Nurse or Deputy Head Nurse, manage and organise the day within the care team by coordinating activities, distributing tasks and ensuring the smooth running of care and continuity of resident care.
- Work closely with nursing, medical teams and other sectors of the institution.
- Develop synergies and interdisciplinary collaboration to promote coherent care for residents.
- Participate in the evolution and continuous improvement of professional practices.
Your profile:
We are looking for a committed, autonomous person eager to invest in an evolving environment.
You are:
- Holder of a HES nursing diploma or a recognised equivalent qualification.
- Experienced clinically in geriatrics or nursing homes in Switzerland.
- Comfortable supporting elderly people with complex health situations.
- Additional experience or specialisation related to geriatrics is an asset.
- Proficient with IT tools used in care; knowledge of Carefolio is an advantage.
- Meticulous in maintaining, monitoring and improving the electronic care record.
- Organised, autonomous and responsible.
- Recognised for your interpersonal skills, listening ability and team spirit.
- Adaptable and comfortable in a rapidly evolving institutional context.
- Resident in the region or willing to cover on-call duties and rapid on-site interventions as required by the position.
- Training as a PLEX / Pleasure evaluator is an additional asset.
