Commissioning Technician Automation (m/f/d)

In this position, you develop, optimise, and support modern control and automation solutions for industrial systems. You programme Siemens PLC systems, carry out technical adjustments directly at the customer site, and accompany projects from commissioning to long-term support. As a technical contact person, you support customers worldwide, troubleshoot faults, and implement sustainable solutions for existing and new systems.
Responsibilities:
Development, adaptation, and programming of PLC controls based on Siemens S7 according to technical requirements
Implementation of electrical and software adjustments on customer systems on site
Creation and maintenance of electrical schematics, functional descriptions, and technical documentation
Execution of commissioning and system tests directly at the customer
Analysis and troubleshooting of faults in electrical components and control systems
Execution of retrofit projects to modernise existing automation systems
Support and assistance of systems via modern remote maintenance systems
Technical support for customers in optimisations, expansions, and troubleshooting
Participation in the continuous development of control and automation solutions
Qualifications:
Completed basic training in electrical engineering, for example as an automation technician, electrician, or comparable
Professional experience in PLC programming and industrial software development
Solid knowledge in handling Siemens controls and automation systems
Basic knowledge in drive and electrical engineering as well as knowledge in hydraulics and pneumatics
Experience in commissioning and technical support of complex systems is an advantage
Independent, structured, and customer-oriented working style
High flexibility and willingness for regular service and assembly assignments
Willingness to travel for national and international customer assignments (approx. 4-8 days per month)
Confident appearance, technical understanding, and enjoyment of direct customer contact
Driving licence category B
Impeccable certificate of good conduct
Good English skills spoken and written
Fluent German skills
