Senior Business Manager - Risk and Compliance (12 months contract)

The mission of the PWM CRO Office is to support PWM Risk & Compliance Management by defining strategic priorities and enhancing the department’s effectiveness. It plays an active role in transformation programmes and key initiatives aimed at positioning PWM Risk & Compliance as a best-in-class organisation.

You will join a high-impact team and contribute to transforming and enhancing the department's operations.

Reporting to the Head of the PWM CRO Office, you will serve as a catalyst for change, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to implement scalable, client-centric solutions within a rapidly evolving regulatory environment.

You will be expected to provide leadership in defining the vision and mission, as well as in strategic planning and execution. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing strategic priorities, driving global engagement on risk and compliance matters, managing the team’s budget, fostering a strong team culture, and overseeing communications.

Your role

You will be responsible for: 

• Supporting PWM Risk & Compliance Management by driving strategic priorities, monitoring the budget, and enhancing the department’s overall effectiveness.


• Coordinating a broad range of strategic projects, including organisational and process changes, investigations, workforce management, AI initiatives, and other operational activities. Ensure stakeholder alignment and secure the engagement of relevant teams to deliver impactful initiatives.


• Contributing actively to developing data analytics capabilities across the Risk & Compliance community, ensuring that success criteria and performance metrics are clearly defined, systematically captured, and continuously monitored.


• Acting as a key liaison between the Risk & Compliance community and other stakeholders to foster effective collaboration.


• Ensuring consistent and coordinated global communications across channels, including the intranet and newsletters.

Your profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Banking, Finance, or a related field


• At least five years’ experience within a financial institution or consulting firm


• Hands-on mindset, combined with strategic thinking and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment


• Proven cross-functional leadership experience


• Ability to build effective partnerships with senior leaders


• Strong analytical skills, particularly in data analysis and business planning


• Excellent understanding of the banking and financial services industry


• Proven experience working closely with senior management


• Strong strategic, conceptual, and analytical thinking, combined with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels of an organisation


• High standards of professional ethics and integrity, with the ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality


• Excellent written and spoken English and French, coupled with strong communication and interpersonal skills


• Residence in Switzerland when taking up the position
