We are recruiting for the 2026 school year, a childcare educator or socio-cultural facilitator for APEMS du Cèdre (position between 75% and 80%).
Rapidly growing, the extracurricular domain seeks to recruit committed and creative individuals to develop the mission of this recent field of social work. The mission at APEMS focuses on developing children’s social skills through their participation in community life. APEMS are located in the heart of Lausanne neighbourhoods, close to schools. The implementation of collective projects, the development of partnerships with stakeholders around the children, reflection and team-based creation of educational projects are essential actions that support and sustain the daily care of the group of children.

Main Mission(s)
Ensure the care of a group of children in accordance with the educational concept while maintaining the overall vision
Support the group of children in carrying out daily activities as well as completing their schoolwork and promote their autonomy
Propose an individualised support approach linked to the skills to be developed or the child’s needs
Participate in the general organisation of the structure
Assume specific administrative tasks
Propose, manage and document projects involving several internal and external stakeholders
Include the various stakeholders in the reception and education of the group of children
Profile
Childcare educator diploma (HES or ES) or recognised socio-cultural facilitator diploma (HES) according to the competency framework of the law on day care for children (LAJE)
Additional training as a practitioner trainer or professional practice trainer is an asset
Minimum 2 years of professional experience with a group of children
Good knowledge of collective childcare settings and group dynamics
Team spirit, comfortable communicating with parents
Autonomy and responsible attitude
Analytical, synthesising skills and ability to propose improvements
Ability to document one’s activity and that of the group of children
Able to develop a participatory process within the team and the children’s community
Special Conditions
Clean criminal records (ordinary and special)
Split working hours from Monday to Friday
Contract includes activities during school holidays
