Project Manager Railway Construction (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF110,000 - 115,000Role:
On behalf of our client, we are looking for a specialist as Project Manager / Construction Manager Railway Construction for diverse projects in Swiss railway and infrastructure construction. Depending on experience, you will take on project planning and/or local construction management for station conversions, extensions of railway tracks, and the repair of civil engineering structures. As a project manager, you will accompany projects from study and planning through tendering and awarding to realisation, while the focus in construction management lies on the professional implementation on site. The position offers an interesting development perspective for both experienced railway construction specialists and qualified professionals from civil and structural engineering.
Responsibilities:
Assuming project and/or construction management of railway construction projects depending on education and professional experience
Handling projects such as station conversions, track and route extensions, and repairs of civil engineering structures
Accompanying projects from study, preliminary and construction planning through tendering to realisation and commissioning
Coordinating specialist planners, railway companies, authorities, and executing companies as well as managing project-relevant interfaces
Creating and monitoring schedule, cost, and quality requirements throughout the respective project phases
Supporting submission, tendering, offer comparison, and awarding of construction and contractor services
Monitoring construction execution regarding quality, deadlines, costs, occupational safety, and railway operations
Coordinating construction processes considering operational phases, construction stages, and closure intervals in the railway environment
Conducting and recording project, construction, and coordination meetings and following up on agreed measures
Ensuring compliance with relevant SIA standards, Swiss construction regulations, and railway-specific guidelines and safety requirements
Accompanying acceptances, commissioning, defect rectifications, and project documentation until completion of construction projects
Qualifications:
Completed apprenticeship in construction or degree in civil engineering with appropriate further training
Further training as FH Civil Engineer, HF Technician, Construction Manager, Site Manager, or Foreman or comparable qualification
Professional experience in railway construction, civil engineering, or structural engineering is an advantage
Knowledge in project planning, construction management, tendering, and coordination of infrastructure projects, depending on the intended area of deployment
Knowledge of relevant SIA standards as well as Swiss construction and infrastructure regulations
Experience with schedule, cost, and quality control in construction or infrastructure projects is advantageous
