For one of our residences hosting ageing people with intellectual disabilities, within our accommodation sector, we are looking for a

specialist educator

Your mission

• Promote the fulfilment of resident persons and the development of their skills through individualised educational action.
• Coordinate socio-educational projects for resident persons and ensure their follow-up as well as implement individualised objectives according to the reference principle.
• Support resident persons in daily life tasks.
• Actively participate in the smooth running of the residence and the general care of resident persons.
• Carry out routine administrative tasks related to the role.
• Participate in educational projects related to the sector.

Your profile

• Diploma as a specialist educator HETS or an equivalent qualification recognised by SEFRI.
• Several years of experience in the disability field and knowledge of the CRPD.
• Knowledge of the issues of intellectual disability associated with autism spectrum disorder and psychiatric disorders. Good knowledge of the Geneva medico-social network.
• Good adaptability, autonomy and organisational skills.
• Competence in administrative tasks, writing skills and good command of IT and office tools.
• Willingness to work irregular hours and at weekends.
• Swiss nationality or valid work permit.

Contract type: permanent contract

Activity rate: 80%
