For the Letzigrund – one of Zurich's most versatile gastronomy establishments – we are looking for a committed and strong leadership personality as Head Chef, starting immediately or by arrangement.
Our task menu
- You lead and organise the entire kitchen area and ensure smooth operations in daily business as well as at major events
- You plan, coordinate and implement the restaurant, seminar, event, VIP and box office business
- You lead your kitchen team in everyday operations and take over the management of extended event crews at major occasions
- You ensure consistently high food quality and actively participate in production
- You further develop the culinary offer and bring in new ideas as well as current trends
- You are responsible for purchasing, inventory management, stocktaking, calculations and adherence to budgets
- You plan quantities and resources proactively and ensure economical use of food with as little food waste as possible
- You coordinate the upscale box and VIP gastronomy in collaboration with specialised gourmet chefs
- You recruit, promote and develop your employees and live the ZFV leadership model "We make others successful"
- You ensure compliance with all quality, hygiene, safety and sustainability standards
- You take on administrative tasks and always keep an eye on the relevant key figures
Your recipe for success
- Completed training as a cook: EFZ as well as further training as head chef with a federal diploma
- Several years of leadership experience as head chef and experience in organising major events
- Understanding of upscale gastronomy and high quality standards
- Sound knowledge of calculation, inventory management and cost control
- Entrepreneurial thinking as well as a structured and forward-looking way of working
- Organisational talent, flexibility and the ability to keep an overview even in dynamic situations
- Enjoyment in promoting employees, taking responsibility and further developing teams
- Very good German skills as well as good IT user skills
