Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for a specialist as Project Manager: Traffic Planning / Mobility for versatile and future-oriented traffic and infrastructure projects. You will develop operational and design concepts, site developments, parking facilities as well as pedestrian and bicycle traffic solutions and handle traffic-related issues using modern simulation and modelling tools. Another focus is on traffic management, traffic modelling as well as construction phase and traffic routing planning for complex infrastructure projects. Depending on experience, you will either independently manage projects or gradually develop into this responsibility.

Responsibilities:

• Independent handling and management of traffic and mobility projects from concept development to realisation

• Development of operational and design concepts for road spaces, junctions, sites and public transport infrastructures

• Planning and assessment of site developments, access roads and parking facilities including capacity and traffic analyses

• Design of projects for pedestrian and bicycle traffic as well as integration into overarching mobility and traffic networks

• Creation of traffic models and traffic simulations with PTV VISSIM and PTV VISUM

• Conducting traffic analyses, performance calculations and variant studies as well as preparing technical reports

• Advising clients in the areas of traffic management as well as operational and safety systems

• Development of traffic routing and construction phase concepts for complex infrastructure and large-scale projects

• Supporting construction and project management in planning construction states, temporary traffic arrangements and staging

• Coordination with municipalities, cantonal specialist offices, transport companies, civil engineers and other specialist planners

• Responsibility for deadlines, costs, quality and project documentation within the managed planning mandates

• Preparation of reports, decision-making bases and presentations for clients, authorities and other project participants

Qualifications:

• University degree as Traffic Engineer FH/ETH, Civil Engineer with a focus on traffic or comparable education in traffic planning/mobility

• Professional experience in traffic planning and mobility consulting is an advantage

• Expertise in traffic planning, traffic management and road space design

• Knowledge in traffic modelling and microsimulation, ideally with PTV VISSIM and PTV VISUM

• Experience with operational and design concepts, site developments and/or pedestrian and bicycle traffic projects

• Knowledge of relevant VSS standards and Swiss traffic planning guidelines

• Fluent German skills in spoken and written form
