Structural Engineer Building Construction (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF100,000 - 105,000Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for a specialist as a Structural Engineer FH/ETH for versatile tasks in structural building engineering. You will handle demanding new build and renovation projects in residential, industrial and commercial construction as well as projects in the area of excavations and structural planning. You will accompany the construction projects from design and static conception through to execution planning and realisation, working with various structural materials such as reinforced concrete, steel and timber. The position offers a broad structural field of activity with high professional responsibility and close collaboration with engineers and designers.
Responsibilities:
Design and handling of demanding structural projects in structural building engineering
Development and assessment of structural concepts for new build, renovation and refurbishment projects
Execution of static calculations and dimensioning for structures in reinforced concrete, steel and timber construction
Handling projects in residential, industrial and commercial construction as well as demanding excavations
Dimensioning of reinforced concrete, steel and timber structures taking into account project-specific requirements
Planning and dimensioning of foundations, load-bearing structures and excavation supports
Accompanying projects from preliminary study and design through tendering and execution planning to realisation
Preparation of technical calculations, verifications, reports and tender documents
Professional coordination with architects, specialist planners, designers and executing companies
Control and supervision of execution and reinforcement planning as well as checking structural details
Conducting site inspections and technical approvals to ensure plan- and standard-compliant execution
Ensuring planning and dimensioning according to relevant SIA standards and Swiss building regulations
Qualifications:
Completed studies as a Structural Engineer BSc/MSc, FH or ETH or comparable recognised qualification
Expertise in structural building engineering and structural planning
Knowledge in dimensioning of reinforced concrete, steel and/or timber structures
Knowledge in statics, structural modelling and structural detailing
Good knowledge of relevant SIA standards and Swiss design regulations
Knowledge of common statics, FEM and CAD-/BIM applications is an advantage
Good German language skills for handling technical project documents
