This is how you ensure electricity in Switzerland
Our telecommunications networks are a central lifeline of the Swiss electricity supply.
With modern Network Management Systems (NMS), we monitor and control this infrastructure around the clock. In this role, you will work on exactly these systems – where stable operation and technical development come together. You will be part of an experienced team in the Network Operation Center (NOC) and take on a hybrid role between operations, engineering, and system maintenance of our OSS/NMS platforms.
Your tasks include, among others:
- Contributing to the reliable operation of our Network Management Systems
- Analysing and resolving faults together with operations, engineering, and suppliers
- Handling incidents and service requests in the NMS environment
- Planning and implementing updates, patches, and technical improvements
- Participating in expansions, releases, and introductions of new NMS components
- Supporting implementations including acceptance tests (FAT/SAT) and commissioning
- Further developing interfaces, monitoring logic, and system concepts
- Maintaining practical technical documentation (system overviews, concepts)
- Ensuring that the systems comply with internal guidelines and cyber security requirements (in cooperation with specialised departments)
This is what makes you stand out
You are characterised by:
- Experience in the operation or engineering of NMS / OSS / monitoring systems
- Technical understanding of networks as well as Linux-based platforms
- A structured working method and interest in stable, critical systems
- Enjoyment of collaboration between operations, engineering, and suppliers
- Very good German and good English skills
Advantageous, but not essential:
- Knowledge in fault, performance, or inventory management
- Knowledge of ITIL Foundation (certification is an advantage)
How we inspire you
We offer you varied and exciting tasks in a company unique to Switzerland and a modern working environment in close proximity to Aarau station. In addition, you benefit from the following perks:
- Flexible working hours (42 hours per week) including the possibility of home office
- 25-30 days of holiday as well as company holidays between Christmas and New Year
- Progressive social benefits and an attractive pension fund
- Opportunities for professional development
- Financial and/or time support for internal or external training
- Competitive salary and reward for good performance
About us
Become part of our eight-member Network Operation team. We are the central point of contact for all internal and external customers. We monitor the telecommunications and remote control infrastructures and ensure stable operation. We receive fault reports, analyse them, and either resolve them ourselves or with support from our service providers and manufacturers. We maintain a friendly team culture, place great value on good cooperation and open, honest communication. We are proud to contribute to Switzerland’s supply security.
