Strategic Buyer Mechanical Engineering 100% (m/f/d)

Responsibilities:
Development and maintenance of long-term procurement concepts for defined technical product groups.
Conducting international price and contract negotiations with existing and new suppliers.
Identification of economical procurement alternatives and implementation of cost reduction measures.
Monitoring material supply and handling critical delivery situations with internal departments.
Analysis of international procurement markets and evaluation of potential sources of supply.
Assessment of supplier performance as well as conducting qualifications and audits.
Participation in purchasing projects to improve cost structures and delivery times.
Maintenance of purchasing-relevant data and clarification of discrepancies in accounting.
Qualifications:
Completed studies in business administration or industrial engineering.
At least seven years of professional experience in technical or strategic purchasing.
Industry knowledge from mechanical engineering, automotive industry, medical technology or aviation.
Solid user knowledge in SAP as well as common MS Office applications.
Strong negotiation skills and confident appearance towards business partners.
Analytical skills and a strong understanding of economic contexts.
Independent and precise working style; willingness to travel about 10%.
Very good German and English skills for international business contacts.
