On the security ward (BEWA) you will find a special senior consultant role at the interface of psychiatry, somatic acute medicine and forensic psychiatry. You will treat people in custody with complex psychiatric and somatic conditions and work closely with the specialist disciplines of the acute hospital. In the Forensic Day Clinic (FTK) in Burgdorf, you will design and be responsible for the psychiatric-psychotherapeutic treatment of people in custody in a day clinic setting. Both services are part of the forensic care triangle of the UPZ and offer you an exceptionally diverse field of activity. You combine forensic psychiatric expertise with somatic medicine, actively shape innovative care services and work in an interdisciplinary environment that enables professional exchange and new perspectives. Your tasks
- Senior consultant responsibility - You take on senior consultant responsibility for psychiatric care on the BEWA and in the FTK - in close collaboration with a committed, interdisciplinary team
- Patient care - You ensure a high-quality, evidence-based and guideline-compliant forensic psychiatric-psychotherapeutic treatment
- Supervision & further training - You supervise assistant doctors and actively shape their professional development
- Concept work - You contribute to the further development of clinical concepts and bring your ideas and expertise into a multiprofessional environment
- On-call duty - You participate in the senior consultant on-call service of the Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy
- Research - You support ongoing research projects and can develop your own projects within the framework of the clinic's research concept if interested
Your profile
- Professional qualification - You hold the specialist title in psychiatry and psychotherapy with MEBEKO recognition for foreign diplomas or are already well advanced in your training
- Interest in forensics - You are motivated to deepen your training in the field of forensics and ideally bring initial forensic psychiatric knowledge
- Leadership & organisation - You have leadership experience, organisational skills and an interest in leadership and training responsibilities
- Collaboration - You are characterised by teamwork, communication skills and enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
- Development - You show high commitment to the continuous development of the department
- Language - You have very good oral and written German skills
