What is my role?
Tasks and Responsibilities:
As an operations electrician, you are an essential part of our maintenance team with specialist responsibility and take charge of the electrical supply, maintenance, and repair of our production facilities as well as the building infrastructure. Your main tasks include:
Maintenance and Repair:
Carrying out maintenance work on electrical systems, machines, and equipment according to the maintenance schedule.
Diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults and errors in production plants, auxiliary systems, and infrastructure.
Planning and executing repairs, both preventive and in case of unexpected breakdowns.
Ensuring Operational Readiness:
Responsibility for the reliable functioning of all electrical systems.
Continuous inspection of systems for safety and functionality.
Comprehensive fault diagnosis and rapid troubleshooting to minimise downtime.
Assembly and Installation:
Installation of new electrical devices and systems.
Conversion, expansion, and modernisation of existing systems.
Participation in the implementation of new technologies to improve efficiency and safety.
Safety Management:
Ensuring electrical safety and compliance with all relevant regulations (e.g. occupational safety, safety standards).
Responsibility for proper documentation of inspections and maintenance measures.
Training and raising awareness among employees for the safe handling of electrical systems.
Project Work and Technical Support:
Support in planning and implementing electrical engineering projects.
Collaboration with other departments (e.g. production, engineering, quality assurance) to optimise processes and systems.
Technical advice and support for new installations, conversions, or expansions.
Documentation and Reporting:
Creating and maintaining maintenance and repair reports as well as technical documentation.
Support in creating and updating technical drawings and circuit diagrams.
Management of spare parts and material inventories.
Optimisation and Further Development:
Participation in continuous improvement processes (CIP) to increase efficiency and reduce operating costs.
Identification of improvement potentials in existing systems and processes.
Proposals for the introduction of new technologies or procedures to improve energy efficiency.
What do I need to be successful?
Completed training as an electrical fitter, electrical installer, operations electrician, or a comparable qualification.
Several years of professional experience in the maintenance and repair of production facilities.
Sound knowledge of electrical engineering, control technology, and automation technology.
Experience in fault diagnosis and repair of electrical faults.
Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards (e.g. accident prevention regulations, VDE).
Good PC skills, especially in the use of maintenance software and MS Office.
Independent and structured working style as well as strong problem-solving skills.
Teamwork and communication skills to work effectively with other departments.
Willingness to work shifts and participate in on-call duty.
Knowledge of drive technology and SPS Siemens S7/S5 is an advantage.
Willingness for occasional on-call assignments.
