About the Position
You lead the external media work for our business unit Buildings, Electrification & Automation and Electrical Products (B EA EP) as well as the media positioning of its President and Board Member Peter Koerte. You support him in his roles as President of B EA EP, Member of the Managing Board of Siemens AG and Siemens-wide Head for Data & AI, Siemens Xcelerator and Strategy by coordinating relevant topics, priorities and opportunities with key stakeholders.
The B EA EP business unit offers products, systems, software, solutions and services for buildings, electrical engineering and power grids and helps customers make infrastructure smarter, more efficient, resilient and sustainable. Together with your team and partners from the company, Marketing & Communications, the regions and board offices, you translate business priorities, technology trends and customer benefits into integrated media strategies and compelling stories for business and specialist media.
Your work strengthens Siemens’ visibility and reputation through proactive, credible and data-driven media work tailored to global and local target groups.
As part of our team you have
- A dynamic and international working environment where you can make a significant contribution.
- Opportunities for continuous learning and professional development.
- A culture that values innovation, collaboration and diversity.
- A competitive remuneration and benefits package.
- Leadership and further development of the "Media Relations B EA EP" team by promoting collaboration, accountability, continuous development, role clarity and high-quality implementation across topics, markets and channels
- Development and implementation of media strategies and communication plans for the B EA EP business unit, aligned with business priorities, campaign themes and market opportunities
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with leading business media as well as relevant specialist media in the areas of automation, manufacturing, industrial software, digitalisation and technology

- Managing the holistic media positioning of Board Member Peter Koerte in his roles as President of B EA EP, Member of the Managing Board of Siemens AG and Siemens-wide Head for Data & AI, Technology and Strategy. Together with your team, you act as the central interface for media work to the communications business partner and coordinate and consolidate all relevant opportunities, briefings and interview preparations
- Developing proactive media narratives and opportunities that position the President as a business, technology and strategy leader beyond his board responsibilities – especially in the areas of Industrial AI, Siemens Xcelerator and Strategy
- Advising business partners and internal stakeholders on media opportunities, messages, positioning, reputational risks and crisis management related to the B EA EP business unit and the broader Siemens-wide responsibilities of the President as a Member of the Managing Board of Siemens AG
- Using insights, monitoring and performance analyses to continuously improve media impact, topic relevance and resource prioritisation
- Completed degree or equivalent qualification, ideally in the fields of communication, journalism, business administration, engineering, technology management or a related field; additional training in communication or media relations is advantageous.
- Many years of professional experience in media relations, corporate communications or journalism with a proven track record in business and specialist media
- Proven experience in leading teams or complex cross-functional projects, including guiding experts, aligning priorities and enabling top performance in an international environment
- Demonstrable success in building, coaching and developing high-performing teams as well as fostering collaboration in complex global matrix organisations
- Deep understanding of B2B technology fields such as electrification and automation, buildings, digitalisation or AI, combined with the ability to quickly grasp technical and strategic topics and translate them into relevant stories
- Strong editorial judgement and communication skills with the ability to develop narratives that link Siemens’ automation portfolio with customer needs, market trends and broader industrial change
- Pronounced entrepreneurial thinking and understanding of how communication in B2B markets contributes to reputation, customer retention and commercial success
- Excellent planning and prioritisation skills, including the ability to manage topic pipelines, media opportunities, launches, events and crises in a fast-paced environment
- Confident stakeholder management with the ability to advise executives, support media positioning at board level, align diverse internal perspectives and collaborate effectively across global, regional and local teams
- Proven experience in positioning top executives on business, technology or strategy topics, ideally including AI
- Experience with digital and social media channels as part of integrated media strategies; familiarity with AI-powered tools for monitoring, analysis, content creation or workflow optimisation is advantageous
- Data literacy and experience in using media monitoring, analytics and reporting for performance evaluation, opportunity identification and supporting evidence-based decision-making
- Sound judgement in handling sensitive information, reputational issues and critical situations as well as a strong commitment to ethics, compliance and accuracy
- Collaborative, resilient and proactive working style with the ability to focus, make well-founded decisions under time pressure and deliver qualitative results in a global matrix organisation
