Canton of Schaffhausen, Youth Public Prosecutor's Office
The Public Prosecutor's Office of the Canton of Schaffhausen is responsible for criminal prosecution and comprises, under the direction of the Chief Public Prosecutor, three departments: General Department, Youth Public Prosecutor's Office, and Traffic Department. The Youth Public Prosecutor's Office conducts criminal proceedings against juveniles (10 - 18 years), issues final orders and penalty orders, files charges if necessary, and represents these in court. The Youth Public Prosecutor's Office is also responsible for the enforcement of imposed juvenile criminal penalties and protective measures (up to the age of 25) as well as for subsequent decisions.
We are looking to strengthen our motivated team from 1 April 2027 or by arrangement.

Legal Internship as an Accessist (m/f), 100 %
What to expect- Insights into the field of activity of a youth and on-call public prosecutor and the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of criminal procedure law and criminal law as well as the associated juvenile criminal law provisions
- Appropriate induction, collaboration or independent handling of criminal investigations and participation in the enforcement of penalties and measures, all under the supervision of a youth public prosecutor
- Conducting interrogations, drafting submissions in appeal proceedings, writing a plea
- Clarifications on legal questions
What you bring
- Completed law degree (MLaw) with enthusiasm for criminal law
- Initial experience in administration, at a court and/or in legal practice is an advantage
- A confident command of written and spoken German
- High communication skills, adept handling of different interest groups at various levels, and an affinity for criminal prosecution

- The employment contract is fixed-term and issued for thirteen months (extension possible); remuneration is based on the Accessist Ordinance (SHR 173.151)
